This shrubs wings on the bark are more noticeable and takes on more of a mounded and compact shape versus an upright growing pattern. Being the jack of all trades, it can be used as a screen, in a hedge, in a group, or it even looks good by itself. This plant will tolerate shade but the more sun that it gets, the more vibrant, red fall color that will be shown off.
